Al-Nasr’s crowning of the Saudi Roshen League title was not only a sporting achievement, but also carried additional financial obligations to major European clubs due to special clauses included in some of the team’s deal contracts last summer.

According to private sources revealed to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah, Al-Asmi will be required to pay around 6 million euros after winning the league title, thanks to the bonuses associated with the team’s championship.
The bulk of the money will go to Chelsea, who will receive 5 million euros based on a clause in Portuguese star Joao Felix’s Al-Nasr transfer contract, which stipulates that the London club will receive a financial reward if the player wins the Saudi League title.
Al-Nasr will also pay around one million US dollars, or roughly €856,000, to Bayern Munich due to a similar clause in the transfer deal with Frenchman Kingsley Coman.
The Saudi club signed the duo last summer with incentives tied to their collective achievements, most notably winning the Rushen League title.
Felix and Koeman played a major role in Al-Nasr’s road to the title, with the Portuguese scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists in 33 matches, while Koeman made 30 appearances with 10 goals and 11 assists.
The rewards won’t stop there, as sources say Chelsea will receive a new reward of the same value if Al-Nasr manage to retain the title next season with Joao Felix on board.
As for Koeman’s bonus clause, it remains in place for the remaining two seasons of the player’s contract with the Saudi club, meaning further cash could be paid to Bayern Munich in the future if Al-Nasr’s domestic success continues.
