It’s the end of a TV era as the second and final series of the UK’s first female gay show hits its peak. As well as a delicious finale, the reunion episode that follows celebrates the legacy of I Kissed a Girl and its pioneering sibling series, I Kissed a Boy. Hannah J Davies

Alain Guiraudie’s latest film starts out as a slice of French countryside action, but takes a dramatic twist. Jérémie (Félix Kysyl) attends the funeral of a local baker where he worked as a teenager. He is put up for the night by a widow, Martine (Catherine Frot), and then decides to stay around – to the chagrin of her son, Vincent (Jean-Baptiste Durand). An atmosphere of danger and sexual tension unfolds around Jérémie, which draws in a mother, a son and a local priest. Simon Wardell
