Colin Firth and Toni Collette’s true crime drama premiered on Sky back in 2022. Michael Peterson called 911 to report that he had found the body of his wife Kathleen under the stairs at their home. But he immediately became a suspect, and the first episode shows the nature of their relationship. HR

Three installments of the much-loved Canadian sitcom that gave the late, great Catherine O’Hara a second wind. First, Moira (O’Hara) and Johnny (Eugene Levy) go real estate hunting, while Alexis (Annie Murphy) tries to hide that she can’t ride a bike. Hannah J Davies

Lurker, 6.15pm, Sky Cinema Premiere

For starters, Alex Russell’s powerful drama is about a pop singer who is stalked by a lover. Théodore Pellerin’s LA outfitter Matthew talks himself into the company of Oliver (Archie Madekwe), an easy-going British musician. As he leaves the event to become a historian, Matthew’s need to continue is embarrassing – and to Oliver’s delight. And as their relationship grows over the weeks, the dynamic between them changes dramatically. Simon Wardell

Monster, 10.25pm, BBC Four

Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda has been shining a light on the lives of broken children, which are often obscured. This 2023 Cannes winner is another compelling look at their inner worlds, designed as a top secret. First, we see events from the point of view of Sakura Ando’s single mother Saori, who thinks that her son Minato (Sōya Kurokawa) is being bullied by his teacher, Mr. Hori (Eita Nagayama). But then we get Hori’s side of the story and, awkwardly, Minato; what emerges is a heartbreaking story of friendship and difference. SW
