TV tonight: Emma Barnett’s bitter battle with endometriosis | Television

Emma Barnett: Fighting Endometriosis

9pm, BBC Two
It’s like drilling holes in my stomach and going into my organs. Journalist Emma Barnett lives with a painful condition that affects one in ten women – but which medical professionals still do not know enough about, mainly due to differences in the health of men and women. In this important post, she talks candidly about her own story and hears from other women who are struggling, because they want more help. Hollie Richardson

Natalie Cassidy: Caring Together

2pm, BBC One
Natalie Cassidy was her father’s caregiver in the last years of his life. Now, after saying goodbye to her 30-year stint on EastEnders, Natalie is heading back to college to train as a carer. The new stories have been following his emotional journey, and this week’s training begins with the training of the first St John Ambulance. HR

Canal Boat Diaries

8pm, BBC Two
Crom’s Green Park in Northern Ireland and Knepp’s Green Park in West Sussex are home to the return of everyone’s favorite television treatment. Expect Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan, to combine the joy and wonder of nature that lies within every reed bed and lurks behind every bush leaf. Priya Elan

Euphoria

9pm, Sky Atlantic
Internet skeptics are suggesting that Sam Levinson will burn the whole thing to the ground – taking out all the participants in the last episode (always?). It would match the vibe of the tough season, which matches the sadness he gave to his characters in The Idol. Will there be justice for Jules? PE

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

9pm, Sky Witness
A young woman found dazed and confused in New York’s Times Square leads the SVU team to a “health club” that looks suspiciously like the front of a sex ring. The new hard-charging Griffin has a mission to go undercover to find out. Can he handle the heat? Graeme Virtue

Film selection

Monolith (Matt Vesely, 2022), 9pm, Film4

I’m walking alone… Lily Sullivan at Monolith. Photo: Bonsai Films

Matt Vesely’s indie sci-fi horror shows how a good idea can win on a small budget. It’s shot entirely in one house with only one actor on screen, Lily Sullivan, who plays a fired journalist who hosts a podcast about the occult. They come across a legend of a black brick that has mysterious symbols and is linked to disturbing visions – and when they do more research, things start to get weird. So is it evidence of aliens or a metaphor for buried horrors? Simon Wardell
