Best of all is Phil Dunning’s bold, cheeky and funny comedy. The king helps – or, more accurately, hinders – Stewart (Elijah Young) and his first boyfriend, when they go to the same restaurant to hear how things are going. See the torn lines and near disasters. HR

The visual comedy reaches its climax, after delighting fans in the fifth and final season by hating AI and throwing red meat to viewers who want Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) to become a slightly unlikely couple. There are always, however, serious arguments to be had and jokes to be written. Jack Seale

A double bill for lovers of – if retro – US mockumentary. Alex’s attempt at altruism backfired when he accidentally donated $1,000 instead of $100 to Parker’s dog rescue group. An unlikely amalgamation of Bonnie and Clyde and Baz Luhrmann (with the knowing eyes of Mel Brooks), Maggie Gyllenhaal’s gothic horror of the 1930s is a riot from start to finish. Chicago gangster Ida (a wonderfully strong Jessie Buckley) is possessed by the ghost of Mary Shelley, then dies and is resurrected – at the behest of Frankenstein’s monster, Frank (Christian Bale) – as a sarcastic rebel. Frank’s love of movie music is the thread that ties together angsty girl fantasy and outdoor romance. Simon Wardell
