Turkey’s Erdogan says Israel should not ‘interfere’ with US-Iran deal | Political Affairs

The Turkish leader has repeatedly criticized Israel for trying to disrupt the US-Iran deal.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has said that peace efforts in the Middle East cannot succeed without regional support, adding that Israel should not be allowed to “disrupt” the United States’ agreement with Iran.

Speaking on Saturday in Istanbul together with his Pakistani counterpart, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Erdogan said “there is no solution that cannot draw strength from the will and contributions of countries that can be permanent.”

“We are closely following the efforts of the Israeli authorities to undermine the (US-Iran) agreement… The Israeli government that is in danger of war should not be allowed to drown our land again in the smell of powder and blood,” he added.

President Erdogan has repeatedly accused Israel of trying to undermine the US-Iranian understanding, and has repeatedly criticized Israel’s attacks on Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.
