The Trump administration has been happy to talk to them Anthropic Recently, according to people familiar with the matter: He no longer has to deal with CEO Dario Amodei, because he was replaced in meetings about the re-release Claude Fable 5 AI example and co-founder Tom Brown.

The government has not yet imposed export controls on the more powerful Anthropic version on June 12 after the National Security Agency confirmed that there were security measures in place and discovered the powerful potential of the company’s banned Mythos version.
But executives have made several calls with Anthropic in recent days, encouraged by the fact that Brown and Anthropic’s chief legal officer, Sarah Heck, has been leading the effort. The people said Amodei was difficult to talk to and did not listen to their concerns.
The discussions have been both at a high level and at the working level, including technical staff from both sides. Some of the discussions have been about trying to figure out what evidence from the Anthropic side would ease management’s concerns about the Fable 5 prison break, the people said.
Like the Inner Loop what was said beforepart of the problem on both sides is on the emotional level. Independent cybersecurity experts are increasingly saying that the security concept for AI models is a stopgap, as skilled users and future AI models will find ways to bypass obstacles.
A White House spokesman declined to comment on the matter. An Anthropic spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
When Anthropic will be able to repackage Fable 5 is unknown. But what the company needs to do to improve export controls will become clear in the coming days.
Last week, a group of the two lawmakers sent a list of questions about the path to Anthropic to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who has taken a leading role in dealing with prison accidents because the Commerce Department of Industry and Security oversees export controls.
Some of the questions in the letter were about resubmissions: “What steps does the department rely on to ensure that people can restore access to this model by revising this decision?”
The letter, written by representatives Sam Liccardo, Jay Obernolte, C. Scott Franklin, and Ted Lieu, sought responses by June 26. A Commerce Department spokeswoman declined to comment on whether the agency would respond by the deadline.

The law referred to in the prohibitions is 36 Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 2.1 (a) (6), according to the head of the organization, which prohibits “to occupy, damage, injure, damage, remove, excavate, or interfere with the building or its equipment, or other cultural or traditional equipment.”
Another law, 36 CFR 7.96, prohibits “bathing, swimming or wading in any fountain or pool” except for the Rainbow Pool memorial of World War II, and the fountains of the German-American Friendship Garden, adjacent to the Lincoln Memorial display pool.
It is unclear whether putting a hand in the water violated one of the laws. But Inner Loop doesn’t think I should risk the error to find out.
