US President Donald Trump has threatened Iran after the war funeral of the slain Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei he saw an open call for Trump’s assassination and Israel warned him that the Tehran government was planning to kill him.
In his famous statement on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, Mr. Trump wrote: “1000 missiles are closed and loaded and are targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, with many more to follow immediately, if the Iranian government acts on their threat, reported in many corners of the Globe, to kill, or attempt to kill the President of the United States, the President of the United States!

He added: “The orders have already been issued, and the US Army is ready, willing, and able, for one year, in terms of escalation, to completely destroy and destroy all areas of Iran – PRAISE ALLAH!”
Israel warned the US earlier this week of a new and more direct Iranian attack on Trump, US media reported.
Sources told CNN that the latest Israeli intelligence details a well-known plot. The Wall Street Journal also confirmed that the threat was “new”.
Tehran has vowed to retaliate against Trump starting in 2020, when he ordered drone strikes against elites. Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.
The threat is said to have prompted the US Secret Service to request that Mr Trump change his flight from a NATO summit in Turkey earlier this week.
But despite his dire words, and his insistence that a temporary ceasefire with Tehran has ended since Iran attacked Qatari and Saudi tankers near the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, prompting US warplanes to attack Iran for two nights and retaliating against attacks on Iranian weapons and US-linked military equipment in the region, Trump said peace talks are continuing.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue ‘negotiations.’ We have agreed to do so, but the United States has told them in no uncertain terms that the Cease Fire is OVER!” Trump wrote.
In response to increasing pressure from Washington, Iran’s negotiator and parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said Tehran will not surrender to the US. He also emphasized that Iran is still ready to defend itself if Washington backs down on the memorandum of understanding with Pakistan.
“We have not stopped preparing to defend our country, and if at any time the Americans give information, we are ready for full protection,” said Ghalibaf. “Ending the war is the most important thing in the world, but everyone should know that the conflict will not end with the surrender of Iran.”
Although it is exchange of ultimatums and US airstrikes in five Iranian provinces, major diplomatic negotiations continue. Qatari mediators went to Tehran.
Tasnim newspaper reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is in the Omani capital, Muscat, to discuss security in the Strait of Hormuz.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to express “deep concern” over the latest development. Sharif urged both Iran and the US to exercise restraint.
“There is an increase in diplomatic activity to save the stalled negotiations after the latest setback,” said Al Jazeera’s correspondent, Mahmoud Abdelwahed, in Tehran.
“However, Iranian officials are still very suspicious of American intentions, especially after recent US protests and President Trump’s statements.”
Al Jazeera’s reporter, Kimberly Halkett, in Washington, DC, said “The United States insists that in order to have a deal, Iran must accept nuclear restrictions and give up its nuclear weapons.”
