Trump in China to discuss with Xi Jinping | Donald Trump News

United States President Donald Trump is in Beijing for a high-profile meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping aimed at ending a major standoff between the rival nations.

When he arrived in China for the first time since his last visit in 2017, Trump was warmly welcomed by Chinese officials.

As he left the White House, Trump said he hoped to have a “long talk” with Xi about the US-Israel conflict over Iran, which sells most of the US-approved oil to China.

But he also downplayed the disagreement, telling reporters that “I don’t think we need any help with Iran” from China and that Xi was “good” on the topic.
