United States President Donald Trump says he could launch the biggest strike against Iran after Tehran retaliated against US strikes in the Gulf, including hitting a communications tower in Kuwait.
Speaking to the US website Axios on Thursday, Trump said he was “seeing a massive attack” that would be “bigger than ever”.

“I’m about to make a decision. We’re all ready,” Trump said.
The threat also increases the difficulty in a fighting with the army for several weeks in which the US attacked Iran for 12 straight nights, including hitting bridges and tunnels, according to Iranian reports.
Iran’s retaliatory attacks have spread throughout the Gulf region, raising fears of a major energy crisis.
The growing conflict has destroyed everything long-term peace agreement signed by the US and Iran last month.
‘An eye for an eye’
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on Wednesday that Tehran would retaliate “an eye for an eye” against any future attacks, including those taking place in Iran.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Jordan and Kuwait against the US military.
The IRGC also admitted to attacking a communications tower in Kuwait, saying it was in retaliation for US attacks on communications towers in Iran.
In a statement addressed directly to Kuwaitis, the IRGC insisted that the US, not Iran, had violated the Gulf state’s “integrity and sovereignty”.
Later on Thursday, Kuwait said its Abdali border crossing with Iraq had also been hit by “hostile drones”.
The spokesman for Iran’s military, Mohammad Akraminia, said: “Retaliation will continue if the US attacks on infrastructure and coastal areas continue.”

Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthi rebels escalated the conflict on Thursday shooting down two Saudi ships in the Red Sea, which led to widespread international criticism and escalation global oil prices.

The Houthis have announced a blockade of Saudi Arabia’s ports, disrupting the world’s second most important shipping route: the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
The Strait of Hormuz has been effectively closed since the US and Israel launched a war against Iran in late February.
Reporting from Sanaa, Yemen, Al Jazeera’s Yousef Mawry cited Houthi sources as saying that Saudi Arabia’s oil company Aramco “could become a future target” for the Houthis if Riyadh does not remove its blockade of Houthi-controlled ports.
Global oil prices for Brent crude topped $100 a barrel on Thursday for the first time in May, which analysts say could have a major impact on the global economy.
“Much of the world’s oil production has already been used up, while oil and commercial supplies are lower than when the war began, leaving the market with few buffers against long-term disruptions,” said Janiv Shah, vice president of Rystad Energy consultancy.
