The star of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Brian Sibenga, has surpassed the historical record of the Moroccan Ashraf Dari, the defender of the Egyptian “Al-Ahly” in the World Cup.
The Congolese national team met their English counterpart today, Wednesday, at the “Atlanta” stadium.In the 32nd round of the 2026 World Cup in America, Canada and Mexico.
In the seventh minute of the match, Brian Sipinga scored the goal of the Congolese national team after receiving a pass from the right side of the goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and a strong shot.
According to Opta statistical network, Sibenga became the author of the second fastest goal of the African team in the qualifying rounds of the World Cup.
Sippinga took second place from Moroccan defender Achraf Dari as the latter scored after nine minutes against Croatia to decide third and fourth place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Congolese star is only surpassed by Ghana’s Kevin-Prince Boateng, who scored after just five minutes in a 2-1 win over the United States of America in the 2010 World Cup final.
