The head of the Dnipropetrovsk army Oleksandr Ganja said on Telegram that Russia “attacked two regions of the region more than 30 times with drones and aerial bombs”.

In the northern Sumy region, a 66-year-old man was killed in a Russian airstrike on a house, regional military commander Oleh Hryhorov said, while a second statement described another “massive attack” on the border with Russia, which injured 10.

The attack in the southeastern town of Zaporizhzhia injured nine, including two children, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.

“The attack by the enemy caused a lot of damage to the houses of civilians in the city,” the organization said.

“Specifically, the apartment building was slightly damaged.

“They are large factories where the enemy manufactures weapons and special weapons, including anti-aircraft guns that are used to attack our people.”

Ukraine has been looking to seriously disrupt Russia’s military in recent weeks, with deadly attacks on Russian-held Crimea and satellite communications facilities near Moscow.

In response to the Ukrainian invasion of Russia this year, Russia moved air defense systems from the region to Moscow, as well as the Kerch Bridge, which connects Crimea to Russia, according to Zelenskyy.
