This compact camera has a bright LCD screen for viewing

While cell phones have become the go-to shooters, point-and-shoot cameras are enjoying a renaissance. Godox, a company best known for its photography lights, is the latest to join the ranks of compact cameras, but its new C100 stands out from the crowd by skipping a transparent LCD display that doubles as a viewfinder.

This device can also work as a light meter, measuring the brightness of your subject and showing the settings that can be used on another camera.

The 65-gram camera can record photos and videos in four different aspect ratios, including 16:9 and 1:1, all of which can be stored on a microSD card up to 128GB in size. There’s no wireless connection, but you can transfer photos to a PC or mobile device via USB-C. The Godox C100 has been launched in China but there is no word on whether it will be released globally. No pricing information on the product page, either, but according to Digital Camera World The C100 is just ¥199, or about $29, making it cheaper than the Charmera.
