The sudden decision has prompted many to wonder why Real Madrid players were overlooked, especially with the continued presence of big names from Barcelona, Atlético and other European clubs in the final list announced by Luis de la Fuente.
During the press conference to publish the list, the coach of the Spanish national team answered the questions related to the absence of “Real” players, stressing that his choice is not related to the name of the club.
De La Fuente said. “I don’t look at where each player comes from, I just look at whether the player can play for us. They are national team players, not their club players.”

The list is topped by a number of Barcelona stars, led by Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Xavi and Dani Olmo, along with Rodri Hernandez, Fabian Ruiz and Nico Williams.
