People who pay to subscribe to access The Weather Channel through their channel dedicated smart TV app sees a price increase of 66.7%.
The TV app, available through Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung TVs, used to cost $3 a month, or $30 a year. According to the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machinethese prices were valid as recently as April 2026. Now, subscribing to the streaming program is $5 a month, or $50 a year, as first reported today by Cord Cutters News.
In addition to The Weather Channel’s live broadcasts, the Weather Channel TV app also offers on-demand shows, local forecasts, maps, radar, and news. The program was launched in May 2022, allowing people to access The Weather Channel’s reports without a cable or satellite TV subscription.
