The United States attacked Iran after tankers were hit off the coast of Hormuz.

The United States has launched a series of strikes against Iran in response to attacks on three merchant ships off the coast of Hormuz.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday it launched the attack “to target and inflict heavy damage on commercial vessels aboard innocent individuals in international waterways”.
