The UAE comes under Iranian protests for the second day in a row: Service | US-Israel War on Iran News

Iran has said that the country’s military has “not carried out any missile or drone attacks against the UAE in recent days”.

The United Arab Emirates was attacked by Iranian missiles and drones for the second day in a row, according to the Ministry of Defense, with Iran denying responsibility for the attacks.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said late on Tuesday that the country’s armed forces “have not fired missiles or drones against the UAE in recent days”.

“If there is anything that could happen, we would announce it clearly. Therefore, the report of the Ministry of Defense in the country is completely rejected and does not contain any truth,” the IRGC report published by the Fars news agency.

According to the UAE, Tuesday’s attack came a day after at least three people were injured yesterday, and a drone set fire to an oil facility east of Fujairah.

The results of the latest attack were not immediately known.

The increase comes as a result of fears of a return to war between Iran and the US, after Washington launched a new strategy, called “Project Freedom”, to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz from Monday. About one-fifth of the world’s traded goods pass through the narrow channel.

In retaliation for the US-Israeli incident in Iran at the end of February, the Iranian military has effectively seized the river by attacking – or threatening – ships that try to cross without Tehran’s permission. The move has caused energy shocks around the world, pushing oil and gas prices to multi-year highs.

In response, the US imposed a blockade on Iranian ports and shipping on April 13, limiting Tehran’s ability to export oil, import essential goods and retain foreign currency.

On Monday, just hours before Washington’s mission began, Iran’s military said it had fired on US warships. US Central Command denied that any ships had been hit, but confirmed that Iran had fired on US warships and US-flagged merchant ships.

The US military says it has destroyed six Iranian submarines, as well as incoming missiles and drones.

Monday’s attack

Tehran also launched 15 missiles – most of them ballistic missiles – towards the UAE on Monday – the first such incident since the US-Iran truce took effect nearly four weeks ago. All were captured, Emirati officials said, but a fire broke out in Fujairah, an important oil storage facility.

The facility became critical during the war, handling about 1.7 million barrels a day – about half of the country’s exports – as it allows shipments to pass through the Strait of Hormuz via the Gulf of Oman. Three Indians were injured in the incident, which the Indian government called “unacceptable”.

Despite the exchange of fire, Washington said Iran did not comply with the ceasefire. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the operation to protect commercial vessels was temporary and that US forces did not enter Iranian waters or aircraft.

“We don’t want a fight,” he said, in what some onlookers described as the usual undertone.

In the five weeks of fighting before the ceasefire was agreed on April 8, the UAE was targeted by at least 2,800 weapons and drones – more than any other Gulf country or Israel.
