The train passed a red light before the fatal Bedford accident, according to the report

A train driver killed in a crash in Bedfordshire ran a red light before the crash, investigators say.

Train driver Shaun Burton60, died and around 100 people were injured when a London-bound service collided with another on Friday.

The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) said in an interim report that the Burton train passed a red signal near the scene of the accident in Elstow at 17:15 BST on Friday.
