The Tate brothers were arrested after further charges were brought against them in the UK.

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been arrested in the United States after British authorities announced they would face further charges.

According to the UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), Andrew Tate has been charged with seven more counts of rape and other offenses including sex trafficking and child pornography.

Tristan Tate is charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of organizing or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.

The alleged offenses allegedly took place between July 2010 and August 2017. Tates has denied any previous wrongdoing.

Malcolm McHaffey, head of the Special Crimes Unit of the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “These prosecutions follow additional evidence from Bedfordshire Police, bringing the total number of alleged victims in this case to seven.

US Marshals confirmed to the BBC that Tates had been taken into custody, while a spokesperson for the US Department of Justice said they were arrested following extradition proceedings.

In a statement, CPS said it would request the prosecution to extradite the brothers.

In May 2025, prosecutors confirmed that Andrew Tate, 39, and Tristan Tate, 37, will finally face a list of 21 charges in England.

These alleged crimes allegedly took place between 2012 and 2016.
