Young talents are stealing the limelight
Three of Barcelona’s rising young talents have caught the attention of the club’s coaching staff, led by German coach Hans Flick, with their excellent performances in the early days of the new 2026-27 campaign.
Flick and his teammates are currently hard at work amid early preparations for the upcoming season, which is close to kicking off.
Barcelona had to prepare without a large number of their big stars as they rested after taking part in the World Cup this summer.
The Catalan team includes 8 football players who participated with the Spanish national team, which won the world championship title at the expense of Argentina.
This has opened the door for a number of youngsters to progress, giving them the chance to prove their worth in order to earn a place in the first team next season.
According to Radio Cadena Cuba journalist Victor Navarro, Hansi Flick and his technical staff are “very pleased” with the impressive level that the young trio of Alex Gonzalez, Ebrima Tunkara and Ibrahim Diarra have shown so far.

Gonzalez and Diarra are 19-year-old wingers, while Tunkara, considered to be Catalonia’s next rising star, is a 16-year-old attacking midfielder.
“Barcelona” is participating in a camp in England that started on Monday and continues until August 3. The list includes 17 young players, including Egypt forward Hamza Abdel Karim, 18 years old.
