The pain is great.. Ancelotti breaks his silence after the disaster in Brazil

Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti made his first comments since the Seleção’s exit from the 2026 World Cup following their 2-1 defeat by Norway in the last 16, underscoring his continued confidence in the project he is leading with the national team.

A day after the dismissal, which the Brazilians consider a disaster, the Italian coach said on his social media pages: “Today the pain is strong, but our confidence in what we have built remains strong. We will continue to work for our national team. Always together… always Brazil.”

Ancelotti led the Brazilian team in 17 matches, during which he won 10 and drew 3, against 4 defeats.

On their journey to the 2026 World Cup, the national team won three matches and drew one before losing to Norway in the round of 16 with two goals from Holland to exit the tournament.

Brazil will have two matches against Australia in the next international break, which is scheduled for late September to early October, and will also try to arrange a friendly match against one of the Asian teams.

Ancelotti has a contract with the Brazilian Football Confederation that runs until 2030, and he will continue to lead the national team in preparation for the upcoming matches.
