The Odyssey: Christopher Nolan’s film starring Matt Damon and Zendaya is receiving rave reviews

Universal Studios will have high hopes for the film at the box office after Oppenheimer took in $975m (£723m) worldwide.

However, Oppenheimer gained a bigger audience from the Barbenheimer phenomenon, a 2023 viral trend that prompted film fans to buy tickets to see Barbenheimer and Oppenheimer on the same day.

Odyssey is a film of “exciting ambition, courage, seriousness, generosity and intelligence”. The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw wrote, ExternalAward five stars

He added, “There are some broad-brush moments in the speech, yes, but even these are tempered by muscular development.”
