“The Netherlands is shaking”. Cucurella repeats the touching song during the celebrations in Spain

Spain’s Marc Cucurella revived his famous and ironic song about Norwegian star Erling Haaland, and…This was during a celebration to welcome the new world champion in Madrid.

And he chanted Cucurella through the microphone on the podium in front of the fans. “Haaland is trembling!”, to which the fans enthusiastically responded according to the lyrics of the song. “Because Cucurella is coming!”

The Chelsea defender sang a longer version of the song after Spain won Euro 2024. The then Manchester City striker quickly responded just a month later by scoring in their first meeting, with Holland commenting at the time:

Cucurella later explained that the song was actually a tribute to Holland’s level, noting that writing a song after a player only happens if he is a global star and has a unique style, as no one sings after an unknown player.

Cucurella confirmed at the time that he did not regret his behavior and that he was ready to sing the song again, which he actually performed during the last celebrations. This position did not go unnoticed in Norway. It received wide coverage in the press there, and a prominent headline on the home page of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK read: “Cuccurella sings about Haaland… again”.
