The Mythos attack on the 3rd-round candidate of the PQC algorithm makes this possible

The design of a quantum-resistant cryptography algorithm that was considered to be legal in the US has been scrapped after security brand Anthropic helped discover the flaw that led to its breaking.

The imported algorithm is known as HAWK. It is a digital signature system designed to be future-proof from quantum computers. HAWK had survived two rounds of testing by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) to evaluate the security of PQC (post-quantum cryptographic) algorithms through common testing. HAWK was in the third phase of testing to catch exactly the flaws that Mythos helped uncover.

As a result, Anthropic announced on Monday, the developer of HAWK he said on Tuesday he was removing it.
