The Moroccan star has sent an emotional message after the World Cup shock

Morocco star Abdel Samad Zalzouli has sent an emotional message after being ruled out of the 2026 World Cup due to injury.

Zalzouli was included in Morocco’s World Cup squad, but was injured during a friendly match against Norway.

Coach Mohamed Wehbe preferred to drop Al-Zalzouli from the Atlas Lions roster, considering that a knee ligament injury forced him to miss for a long time.

Al-Zalzuli wrote on his Instagram page: “Want to start by thanking everyone for the messages of support and love I’ve received over the past few days.”

He continued. “My absence from this important tournament is a strong blow, and I do not deny that it is painful. But in difficult times, faith, patience and gratitude are the most precious things we have. Thank God for everything.”

He emphasized. “Those who know me know that I will not give up, I will work every day with more energy and enthusiasm than ever to come back stronger and better.”

He also noted: “I also wish our Moroccan national team all the best. I am sure that they will do everything to represent our country with pride. I call on all Moroccans to be united behind them and support them every step of the way. Thank you for your continued support.”
