The moment of the strange slip… Rice chose a surprising name in the role of captain of “Arsenal”.

The Gunners star reveals the scenes behind the Premier League triumph

statement Arsenal star Declan RiceThe turning point in his side’s Premier League title campaign came in the match following a disastrous result against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal won the English Premier League title for the 14th time in their history and the first in 22 years in the penultimate round, namely Manchester City after a draw with Bournemouth (1-1).

But in a heated rivalry between the two teams, Arsenal appeared to open the door for Manchester City last February when they took a two-goal lead against Wolverhampton last time out, only for a late goal to draw 2-2.

After lifting the trophy at Selhurst Park on Sunday, Rice spoke of the crisis negotiations that followed the collapse at Molineux, with three players in particular echoing the rest of the squad.

Captain Martin Odegaard was at the forefront, but Rice chose a surprising name for Odegaard as he also praised the wisdom of Christian Norgaard, who has played a key role behind the scenes this season, as well as that of Eberechi Eze.

“Norgaard had some really good words, so did Martin when he started it, and so did Izzy, he ended it with some really beautiful and strong messages,” Rice said, as quoted by Metro.

He added: “He is a very calm person. You see him on the field and that’s how he comes off. He put everyone at ease and it was really nice.”

He continued. “It was different this season, there were a lot of people who stood out behind the scenes.”

He explained. “No one thought they were leaders, but they really spoke within the group, motivating the players in quiet one-on-one meetings. It’s been a real team effort this season.”
