A press release has revealed some details of Barcelona’s financial plan for the upcoming summer transfer window, as the Catalan club look to invest heavily in strengthening their ranks.
As reported by the Spanish newspaper El Pais, “Barca” officials confirm that they will invest about 180 million euros this summer.
From Hesperia’s rebellion to Mourinho’s feud… ‘civil wars’ preceded Real and Barcelona’s Clasicos.
Barca are primarily targeting Atletico star Julian Alvarez and want to include Spaniard Ferran Torres in the deal to reduce financial costs.
The newspaper states that “Alvarez has informed Barcelona that he will press for a move away from Atletico”, while the Catalan club believe that the Rojiblancos will demand between 120 and 140 million euros to part with the Argentinian striker.
The Blaugrana management is looking to strengthen the team’s attacking line, especially with the expected departure of Polish veteran star Robert Lewandowski.
