Former Al-Hilal and Saudi Arabia Football Club legend Sami Al-Jaber has expressed his concern about the situation of the Al-Nasr team at the current stage of the season, sending a warning message to the team after their 3-1 loss against Al-Qadisiya in the 31st round of the Roshan Saudi Arabian Professional League.
Al-Nasr, who are at the top of the table, suffered an impressive defeat against Al-Qadisiya at the Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam. The result opened the door to controversy over the squad’s standard ahead of the upcoming domestic and continental fixtures.
Sami Al-Jaber said during the “Nadine” program. “Al-Nasr’s upcoming clash against Japan’s Gamba Osaka in the AFC Champions League 2nd Final is an important event for Saudi football, but at the same time it is a real test of the team’s ability to withstand pressure.”
“If Al-Nasr plays against Gamba Osaka in the same physical form as it did against Al-Qadisiya, it may have a hard time deciding the final, especially since the opposing team has high technical capabilities.”

Al-Jaber noted that the problem does not appear to be purely technical in Al-Nasr’s ranks, explaining: “Al-Nasr have distinctive elements and clear technical quality, but the biggest challenge is the physical aspect and the extent of the players’ ability to maintain a high level during a jam-packed period.”
He continued. “Fatigue could be a factor affecting the team at this stage, especially with the pressure of domestic fixtures and a strong clash against Al Hilal in the Riyadh derby on May 12, which could be decisive in the league race.”
