A decisive showdown against Ronaldo is on the horizon
The Italian press focused on the achievement of its compatriot Simone InzaghiAl-Hilal’s coach during the Two Holy Mosques Cup final against Al-Khulud held yesterday Friday at Al-Enmaa Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City.
The Italian coach managed to win his first championship outside his country, and the tenth of his coaching career, after Al Hilal beat Al Khalood by two goals.
Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiya reviewed the praise from the Italian media, with Gazzetta dello Sport saying: “With Theo’s goal, Inzaghi lifts his first championship since going to Saudi Arabia. . . King’s Cup of Saudi Arabia, he won his tenth career title with a comeback, a goal from Theo Hernandez and a goal from Benandez.”
Corriere dello Sport followed the Al Hilal coach’s heroics throughout his career, writing: “After 3 titles at Lazio and 6 at Inter… Inzaghi takes his 10th title in Jeddah after Al Hilal won the Copa del Rey.”
Corriere della Sera commented on the Copa del Rey final and the Riyadh derby between Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr next Tuesday, saying:
“Goal” website wrote in Italian. “Simone Inzaghi wins the Piacenza Cup in Saudi Arabia, and Theo Hernandez decides the game for him, three days before the decisive game against “Al-Nasr”, whose fate is in his hands.
“Theo pleased Inzaghi… He appeared at the decisive moment and made Al Hilal happy… He beat Al-Kholud 2-1 and won his first title on the Al Hilal bench.”
