The Moroccan coach has been linked with many clubs recently
Al-Ittihad Club has decided its final position on appointing former Moroccan coach Walid Regraghi as their coach next season, replacing Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao.
Al-Ittihad recently announced the dismissal of Conceição as the team’s technical director.after a run of negative results last season that ended without a title win.
The name “Dean” has been linked with the signing of several coaches to replace the Portuguese coach, including Walid Al-Regraghi, which was previously confirmed by Saudi journalist Majid Hood.
However, Hood has returned to X to confirm through his personal account that the Moroccan coach will not be the technical director of Al-Ittihad next season.
The Saudi journalist noted that Al-Ragraqi’s case did not initially enter the study phase because his name was limited to nominations among several other options.
Hood confirmed that the president of the federation, Fahd Sindi, has not proposed any name to coach the team next season, noting that things are going on inside the club quietly, away from the noise.
Notably, Al-Ittihad had a disastrous season, exiting the Saudi Super Cup and the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup in the semi-finals and the quarter-finals of the elite AFC Champions League and finishing fifth in the Saudi league table.
