No doubt inspired by all the positive comments ahead on social mediaAmazon MGM Studios has released the final trailer for Masters of the Universeand comes packed with 1980s nostalgia, full of Easter eggs to please Ars readers of a certain age.
Directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and Two Ropes), the film is a reboot of sorts He-Man is the Masters of the Universe series, its explosion, She-Ra: The Mighty Queen, and many, many other offshoots of this very thing the famous Mattel franchise. According to the government:
In Masters of the UniverseDirector Travis Knight brings the iconic story to the big screen in this epic adventure. After being separated for 15 years, the Mighty Sword leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he finds his home broken under the tyrannical rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his country, Adam must team up with his best friends, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and accept his true destiny as He-Man – the most powerful man in the universe.
