Ibrahim Hasan reveals scenes from the Pharaohs’ camp
Egypt’s national team manager Ibrahim Hassan denied the validity of rumors of a crisis with Pharaohs player Haitham Hassan during the 2026 World Cup camp, stressing that the player enjoys the confidence of the technical staff and that his absence is due only to the circumstances of the match.
Ibrahim Hasan said on the air of “On Sport” TV channel. “I have not seen anything related to the crisis involving Haitham Hasan. He is a very good player and has high morals, just like his father and his family. The manager of the national team noted the great role of the Egyptian fans in supporting the players, saying: “The Egyptian fans’ support for us and staying up late to watch the national team matches, in addition to the high attendance in the United States of America, gives us a lot of motivation. Salah is close to arriving in Australia
Ibrahim Hasan spoke about the latest developments in the injuries of national team players, saying: “Mohamed Salah started his treatment and rehabilitation program on the day of the Iran match and he is doing very well and will be very much ready to play against Australia.”
“Hamdi Fathi is also continuing his treatment program well and we hope he will be available for the Australia game, but it is very difficult for Ahmed Fathi to join this clash.”

In another context, Ibrahim Hassan emphasized the need to support young striker Hamza Abdel Karim, stressing that he is one of the most popular rising talents in Egyptian football.
He said: “Hamza Abdel Karim is one of those wonderful talents that suddenly emerges and imposes itself, as happened with Lamine Yamal when he played for Spain… And when a talent like Hamza Abdel Karim emerges, we have to celebrate it and support it.”
He added: “We see a lot of potential in Hamza and we hope that more players will emerge who possess his talent. Hamza is a very promising player. He has great physicality, he plays well with his head, and he also has speed and a high fighting spirit on the pitch.”
Ibrahim Hassan stressed that Barcelona’s interest in the player reflects his technical value, saying: “When Barcelona demand the inclusion of Hamza Abdel Karim and the coach of the team decides to move him to the first team in the pre-season, it means that they see great advantages in him and of course they understand these matters more than we do.”
He concluded his remarks by praising player Mohamed Zico, saying: “Zico’s first inclusion in the Egyptian national team was during the World Cup and it confirms that he is an important and outstanding player and it is a very good step in his career.”
