The Echo Dot Max is cheaper than ever in an early Prime Day sale

We see it the best of Prime Day before next week, and unsurprisingly, some of the best deals are on Amazon devices. Several Echo speakers have dropped to new prices, including Echo Dot Maxwhich retails for $64.99 ($35 off) at Amazon.

Our smart home reviewer Jennifer Pattison Tuohy named the Echo Max her top pick among Alexa speakers, calling it “Amazon’s best speaker ever.” The beautiful, cloth-covered speaker provides plenty of bass, and comes with its own dedicated tweeter and woofer that delivers a louder sound than the original. It’s fast and responsive, with Amazon’s AZ3 Neural Edge processor that helps it hear voice commands accurately, even if you’re talking from across the room or background noise.

The Echo Max also doubles as a smart home device with support for Zigbee, Matter, and Thread, allowing you to connect and control a variety of smart home devices from more than one Amazon brand. It also helps Alexa PlusAmazon’s AI-powered voice assistant, which can handle multiple requests at once. This means you can do things like turn off the lights and lock the doors without issuing separate commands. In our testers’ tests, Alexa was able to turn off the street lights, turn on the ceiling fan, and start the robot vacuum cleaner in the kitchen all at the same time.
