The €100m deal… Paris to compete with Liverpool for Salah’s replacement

“Paris Saint-Germain” is going to offer 100 million euros to acquire Ivorian winger Ian Diomandi of German “Leipzig”, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Interest in Diomande is not limited to Paris Saint-Germain, as Liverpool have also been eyeing the 19-year-old for some time, who is believed to be the Reds’ preferred option to replace Mohamed Salah when he leaves Anfield.

100 million euros

The Spanish “Mundo Deportivo” wrote that Leipzig does not rule out selling their player for an appropriate price, but the German club will demand more than 100 million euros for their star, and if the sale fails in the current summer transfer window, Leipzig will seek to extend the player’s contract.

Remarkable numbers and exceptional abilities

This season, Diomande scored 13 goals and provided 9 assists in all competitions, attracting the attention of major European clubs.

The player is distinguished by his ability to play on both wings, his skills in individual confrontations, and his exceptional speed with the ball.

Barcola’s alternative to Liverpool

If the Diomande deal falls through, Liverpool have prepared an alternative plan that includes French winger Bradley Barcola, 23, from Paris Saint-Germain.

With Ousmane Dembele, Kweika Kvaratschelia and Desiree Doue forming Luis Enrique’s attacking trio, Barcola could welcome a move into a more prominent role.

In this season, the French played 2877 minutes for the Paris team.
