‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ | Anatomy of Scene

I’m David Frankel. I’m the director of “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” In this show, Andy Sachs, played by Annie Hathaway, is having his first meeting with the Runway crew led by Miranda Priestly, played, of course, by Meryl Streep. “… I was.” “So the goal was pointless and pointless.” “I wouldn’t say that’s the goal.” This is the first of three assembly scenes in this new video. All these views of New York are made up of sights. This scene was shot on a very large scale on our steps in Queens. Two important things are happening in this scene. First, we see that Andy still wants to be accepted by Miranda, and secondly, the way Miranda treats her employees has changed over the years. He now has an assistant, Amari, played by Simone Ashley, who prevents him from breaking various HR rules. “…you choose a walking shoe and a bum bag.” “Bag bag! May my suicide be short and painless.” (Puts his neck out) “No, no.” “What? What do you mean, no, no? One of the actors speaking in this show is Bria Condon. And at the end of the table is George C. Wolfe, who appeared in the first film. He’s a well-known stage and screen director. Andy finally interrupts the meeting and Miranda scolds him. “Okay, but has anyone read the piece? “Mmmmmm.” “Mmmm?” “Look, you’re here to write and edit things that people read. And when that happens, yes, you can disrupt the meeting…” Here at the end of the event, we were looking at some kind of button and Meryl ad libbed this moment. “Let’s talk about rodeo bows. This one is beautiful.”
