“As the bombs continued to fall and Gaza was virtually surrounded, world leaders believed that paper could replace the response, the blockade, so that medicine could reach the people who needed it,” Shalltoot said.

“Even now, as access to Gaza remains severely restricted and aid is heavily armed against the starving population, their stability continues.”

Since Israel’s genocide in Gaza began on October 23, more than 73,000 people have been killed. Large areas have been devastated, and an estimated 1.9 million people have been displaced.
