Darwin Núñez has not featured for Al-Zaim in the Rochen League since Karim Benzema joined.
British media reports have revealed that Al Hilal have decided to part with their Uruguayan star Darwin Nunes by mutual consent at the end of the current season as the club no longer need a striker.
Talk Sport reported today that Al Hilal’s management has entered into negotiations with Nunez to terminate the contractual relationship between the two parties by mutual consent.
According to the same source, Nunez asked Al Hilal management to leave in the last winter transfer window after signing Frenchman Karim Benzema, and that request is still pending.
The report confirms a report from the Uruguayan newspaper Observer yesterday, Wednesday, which indicated that Nunes had reached an implicit agreement with the leader’s administration to leave next summer.
Several European clubs are interested in the services of the Al Hilal forward, who previously played professionally for Liverpool. Juventus is in the lead.
Nunez joined Al Hilal in the summer of 2025 on a three-season contract extension, but the player is unlikely to see his contract through due to disappointing performances.
Núñez made 16 appearances for Al Hilal in the Roshan Saudi Arabian Professional League, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists, before being left out of the squad following the signing of Benzema and limited to the AFC Champions League.
