Days ahead of Paris Saint-Germain-Arsenal in the Champions League final, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi outlined the changes the Parisian club has seen this season, putting it entirely in the hands of Spanish coach Luis Enrique.
“Luis Enrique changed Paris Saint-Germain and changed the mentality of the whole club. We have become a family playing for each other and it is clearly reflected on the pitch, Hakimi said Enrique has made a radical transformation within the walls of the club.
The Paris Saint-Germain full-back explained that the Spanish coach’s stamp is evident in the team spirit and harmony that characterizes the squad, a decisive factor in reaching the continental final after a series of strong performances in the tournament.
Hakimi expressed his gratitude for working under Enrique, saying: “I consider myself lucky to be in this team, with this group of players and under the supervision of this coach. Playing in this club gives me an exceptional feeling.”

The Moroccan international confirmed that Enrique has contributed to his development at technical and mental levels, continuing: “He gave me a lot of things that I didn’t know and changed the way I think on the field, whether it’s in terms of playing style or positioning myself in new positions that I wasn’t used to before.”
Notably, Hakimi has missed the last few matches due to an injury sustained in the first leg of the semi-final against Bayern Munich, but all indications are that he is close to being fully fit ahead of the upcoming final.
