The British leader described Dunblane’s tragedy as a murder

Law, MP for Great Yarmouth, said his father’s guns were confiscated after the shooting and that society in the UK needed “radical change” and “let go of the individual”.

Kenny Ross, whose son Joanna was one of the students killed in the attack, told BBC Scotland News he hadn’t listened to the podcast so he couldn’t really comment, but he was “not surprised” by some people’s ignorance.

He said: “They don’t realize how terrible it was.

But now we have a safer society because there is no private gun ownership.

“Thirty years go by and people forget what we’ve been through.

“I don’t want anyone else to go through this. People like him are so ignorant and selfish.”

Conservative MSP Stephen Kerr said Lowe’s comments were “shockingly callous and profoundly disrespectful to the victims of Dunblane”.

He said: “Describing Dunblane as ‘one murder’ is simply incorrect – it diminishes one of the darkest days in Scotland’s modern history.

“There is no reason to reduce the killing of 16 children and their teacher to ‘one murder.’
