Not all triangles are created equal – just ask our own Allison Johnson, who recently spent time it is a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone. Aurzen’s Zip projector it’s the kind of triple kit we can get behind, though, and it’s on sale now Amazon $259.99 ($140 off). You can also take it in several forms directly from Aurzen for the same price, or in the gold shade for a reduced price of $249.99.
Although they are not nearly as powerful Anker’s Nebula P1 and other portable projectors we’ve tested recently, the Zip is surprisingly impressive despite its small size and battery operation. The snake-like 720p projector offers a brightness of 100 – which means that it will work very well in dark areas, or in bright rooms when you see a small picture – while its built-in battery should last about 80 minutes based on our actual tests. That’s not what battery life is, but it’s easy to charge the Zip using a power bank or wall adapter.
In terms of support, Zip can quickly connect to iPhones via AirPlay and Android devices via Miracast, Smart View, and similar standards, allowing you to wirelessly mirror whatever you see on your phone. You can use it to watch any videos you’ve downloaded on your device, read your social media feeds, or quickly join in with your favorite games. It also works in color and picture mode, and supports Bluetooth, allowing you to listen privately with headphones or connect to your favorite speaker.
The biggest downside to Zip, especially for some people, is that you can’t use it to watch content from services like Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max because of copyright restrictions. Aurzen he does making a USB-C dongle which allows you to run content protected by DRM, if you can’t pass without watching the latest episode of Euphoria. You have to pay $109 to get access, or find another way.
