If car buyers had any concerns about Tesla, it seems to have put them to rest. This morning, the car manufacturer release its sales and production numbers for the second quarter of the year. And if you’re a fan of CEO Elon Musk, that’s good news, as April, May, and June were good months for the company. In total, Tesla sold 480,126 EVs in Q2, an increase of 25 percent year on year.
As expected, the Model 3 and Y generate the most sales; despite its size, Tesla still produces only these two models, which were to deliver 467,762, an increase of 25.2 percent compared to Q2 last year. The remaining 12,364 vehicles – an increase of 19 percent compared to the same quarter in 2025 – were a mix of The S and X models are unchanged and opposites Cybertruckwhich is sold in North America and the Middle East only.
The good news for Tesla fans is that the company appears to be finding a solution to its mounting problems. As we saw when it published its Q1 2026 results in March, Tesla had a growing problem, repeatedly building more cars each month than it could sell. But total production for Q2 was 451,758 cars; this is a 10 percent year-over-year increase and about 30,000 fewer cars than it sold this quarter.
