Teenagers were acquitted of killing a 15-year-old boy with a sword


Two teenagers have been cleared of murdering a 15-year-old boy who was stabbed in the heart in Glasgow.

Amen Teklai died in March 2025 in the area of ​​St. George’s Cross in a conflict between two children who were 14 and 15 years old.

A jury at Glasgow High Court found them both not guilty of murder. The boys are now aged 16 and 17 but cannot be named due to their age.

The younger teenager said he and Amen had swords and stabbed him in self-defense. The older boy was standing at a distance and said he wouldn’t attack Amen.
