England’s Tammy Beaumont has announced her retirement from international cricket.
The 35-year-old will retire after England’s Test match against India on Friday, the first women’s Test at Lord’s.
Beaumont made her international debut in 2009 and has played 11 Tests, 140 One Day Internationals and 109 T20s.
Her 12 ODI hundreds are an England Women’s record and she is one of only two English women to score international centuries in all three formats, along with former captain Heather Knight.
“It’s a great honor to play for England for 17 years,” Beaumont said.
“While I loved playing cricket when I was young, I didn’t know playing cricket for England was an option and I’m especially delighted to think how many girls and boys have been inspired this summer and how far the game has come in our country.
“We’ve always wanted to tip our hat to the next generation and the time has come to hand that privilege on to the next generation of England players.
“This Lord’s match – the first ever women’s Test at Lord’s – feels like a great opportunity to register a career that I never dreamed would be so special.”
Beaumont also confirmed that she will continue to play domestic cricket. She currently plays for The Blaze and Birmingham Phoenix at The 0und.
