Swansea City will appoint Crystal Palace’s Ben Stevens as sporting director

Swansea City are set to appoint Ben Stevens as their new sporting director.

Stevens has been assistant sporting director at Crystal Palace since 2024, having previously spent a decade as the Premier League club’s head of performance and recruitment analysis.

He worked under former Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman and worked for the former Scotland striker when he left to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Diriya last year.

Swansea have been searching for a sporting director since director of football Richard Montagu left last September, just seven months after joining the Championship club.

Former head of recruitment and analytics Adam Worth left in April this year.

Although Stevens will have a different title, the role will likely be similar to that filled by Montag.
