The battle rages over the elephant star
Real Madrid are close to ending the race to sign young Ivorian winger Yann Diomandi from Leipzig after the Spanish club led the competition to sign him in the current transfer window.
A German journalist told the network “Sky Sports” Florian Plettenberg said today, Saturday, that Diomande currently has two verbal agreements with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, each extending his contract until at least 2031, while there is no verbal agreement between the player and Manchester City.
Real Madrid set date to unveil their latest deals
Rodri has informed Manchester City about his position to move to Real Madrid
Plettenberg explained that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are fully aware of the current situation, while new contacts between the parties took place today, and the French club is still committed to trying to sign the player, while Real Madrid is intensifying its efforts to reach an agreement with Leipzig and has already started direct negotiations with the German club.
The German journalist stated that Leipzig are ready to sell the player, but will not agree to his departure for 100 million euros, as the club believes that the amount is not even close to the price required to give up the Ivorian winger.
Real Madrid are working hard on a deal for Diomande, especially with Brazilian star Vinicius Junior set to leave the Spanish club this summer.
