The coach of Egypt got into a verbal conflict with Messi on the field
Egypt coach Hossam Hassan is facing disciplinary action from FIFA following an incident against Argentina at the 2026 World Cup round of 16, which included a brief altercation with Tango captain Lionel Messi and a widespread gesture.

These developments come after a wave of anger engulfed the Egyptian national team delegation following their dramatic 3-2 loss to Argentina in a match that witnessed many controversial arbitration cases.
