Surprise.. a new twist in the case of Jesus and Al-Nasr

The future of Al-Nasr Club coach Portuguese Jorge Jesus takes a decisive turn after Roshan’s historic crowning of the Saudi Arabian Professional League title amid high expectations of his fate with Al-Alami to be decided in the coming period.

A fateful meeting

Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper has revealed that the option of extending the Portuguese coach’s contract remains on the club’s table, despite recent hints from Jesus that he might leave.

Sources in the Saudi newspaper say a meeting between Al-Nasr’s executive committee and the Portuguese coach is expected soon to discuss the future of relations between the two sides, given the administration’s desire to maintain technical stability after the exceptional season the team has achieved.

Jesus prefers to wait

According to the same sources, Jesus is inclined to delay a final decision on an extension until after the 2026 World Cup, a move that reflects his desire to keep his options open for future opportunities.

The management of Al-Nasr recognizes the importance of technical stability at this critical stage, especially after the great success achieved by the team led by the Portuguese coach, which makes renewal a priority for the club.

Turkey is not a preferred destination

Sources have ruled out any validity to reports that Jesus is close to a move to the Turkish league, despite the latter’s admission that there have been talks and communications from several Turkish clubs recently.

Sources have confirmed that the option of going to Turkey is not a priority for the coach at the moment, which increases the chances of him staying in Riyadh or waiting for more tempting offers.

I dream of coaching Portugal or Brazil

Sources have revealed that Jesus is among his future ambitions to coach one of the top teams, particularly Portugal or Brazil, after the next World Cup, in a move that could be the most significant leap in his coaching career.

However, the option to continue with Al-Nasr remains a possibility, provided a new deal is reached that includes additional financial improvements to his current contract, which sees his annual wages exceed €7 million.
