York Knights picked up their first win of the 2026 Magic Weekend with an entertaining 36-24 victory over fellow Super League rivals Huddersfield Giants.

The Knights’ fifth league win of the season took them above Toulouse ahead of their match against French side Catalan Dragons on Saturday evening.

Two tries each from Cody Hunter and John Bennison – plus one each from David Nofoaluma, Nikou Williams and Denyve Balmforth – sealed York’s second straight win and two points at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Chris Patolo, Jane Dunford, Ollie Russell and George Flanagan all scored for the Giants in a match that slipped away from them early in the second half as they remain bottom of the Super League standings.
