Malang Sar (Lens to NEOM: free transfer)
Former Chelsea defender Malang Sarr has joined NEOM, who play in the Saudi Arabian Professional League, on a free transfer after leaving Lens.
The Frenchman, who made eight Premier League appearances for the Blues between 2020 and 2024, made 19 appearances in the French league last season and helped Lance secure a place in the Champions League for the 2026-2027 campaign, but he ultimately decided to seek a fresh start in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Tynan Thompson (Tottenham to Manchester United: £8m)
Manchester United have turned to one of their Premier League rivals for a player grab, signing Tottenham Hotspur’s promising young winger Tynan Thompson.
The 18-year-old joins the Red Devils for around £8m, with Spurs negotiating a clause that sees them receive 20% of the value of any future sales of the player as part of the deal.
In the 2025-2026 season, Thompson scored 13 goals and 6 assists in the youth teams of “Tottenham”.
Marcos Leonardo (Al Hilal to Ajax – £17m)
Al Hilal are close to signing West Ham winger Crescencio Summerville as the departure of Marcos Leonardo appears to have been approved with a view to making room for the Holland international.
Leonardo, who scored an impressive 27 league goals during his two seasons in Saudi Arabia, has now joined Dutch side Ajax for just under £17million.
Abdul Fattaw (Leicester City to Ipswich: £20m)
Ipswich are set to return to the Premier League and have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Leicester City winger Abdul Fattou.
The Ghana international has featured in all four of his country’s World Cup matches and now joins Ipswich Town for £20million after the 2025-26 campaign, during which he scored nine goals in the Second Division.
Christ Enau Olay (from Trabzonspor to Fiorentina – £25m)
Fiorentina have strengthened their midfield with the £25m signing of Christ Enau Ula from Trabzonspor.
Having played four matches with the Ivory Coast national team at the 2026 World Cup, Ulai will have the opportunity to test his abilities in the Italian league, and the Turkish team playing in the Turkish Super League will leave after just one season and 25 games in the Turkish league.
Francisco Trincão (from Sporting Lisbon to Al Ahly: £34m)
Francisco Trincão is the latest player to head to the Middle East to join the Saudi professional league, with the Sporting Lisbon winger signing for Al Ahly.
The Portugal international, who made one substitute appearance at the 2026 World Cup, has signed a four-year deal and will join England striker Ivan Toney at the Jeddah-based club.
Tarik Muhramovic (from Sassuolo to Leeds United – £34m)
Leeds United have moved quickly to compensate for the departure of Pascal Struyck following a move to Premier League rivals Brighton by signing Sassuolo defender Tarik Muhramovic.
The Bosnia international made three appearances at the 2026 World Cup, picking up a red card in his side’s 4-1 defeat to Switzerland, and now joins Leeds for £34million, just shy of the club’s transfer record he set when he signed Georginio Rutter.
Joao Gomez (Wolverhampton to Aston Villa – £38m)
Wolves’ relegation to League Two made player sales inevitable and Joao Gomez was the latest to leave Molineux.
The Brazilian made 130 appearances for Wolves in all competitions but opted to move to their Midlands rivals, with Aston Villa paying £38m to sign the 25-year-old midfielder.
Johan Manzambi (Freiburg to Aston Villa – £50m)
Aston Villa have actually managed to secure a replacement for Morgan Rodgers after announcing the signing of Johan Manzambi from Freiburg.
The 20-year-old striker was on the verge of joining Newcastle before Aston Villa swooped in for the £50m fee paid for Manzambi, who showed his talent during the 2026 World Cup with Switzerland in a club-record signing.
Morgan Rodgers (Aston Villa to Chelsea: £117m)
Chelsea have broken a British transfer record with a massive £117million deal to sign Aston Villa forward Morgan Rodgers.
The England international was linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal but decided his future lay at Stamford Bridge under Xabi Alonso, where Rodgers signed an initial six-year deal.
