Summer Games Festival 2026: All the news for a very busy week of sports

Prepare sports news. It’s June, which means new events for PlayStation, Xbox, and Geoff Keighley. But this season isn’t just about big tenpole shows; there will be a bunch of smaller events, too, and they might have some great games.

But this year’s event comes at a critical time for the industry. The prices of consoles and game consoles have skyrocketed, and so have all the devices three big comfort gamers are announcing price hikes and mobile PCs to join hardware cost also.

The game industry also has to work around the upcoming giant Grand Theft Auto VIwhich is expected to be implemented on November 19. That time of the year is usually the busiest as studios launch their games in the lead up to the holiday shopping season, but we can see some of the company’s biggest game releases.
